Mitch Goldman is a health care entrepreneur and nationally ranked health care transactional and reimbursement attorney. Throughout his professional career he has developed new health care services including an innovative medical malpractice insurance company. He has worked in almost every part of the health care industry including recently advising health care entrepreneurs in mobile health, accountable care organizations, dental support organizations, dental practice acquisitions and dental supply companies. During the passage of the Affordable Care Act, Mr. Goldman was actively involved in advising several United States Senators on key aspects of the law. He was the subject of an article in the Philadelphia Inquirer as a thought leader in the field. He is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association Health Law Section. He also hosts a regular radio show on the Business of Healthcare on Business Radio Powered by Wharton on SiriusXM channel 111. He has been an adjunct professor of health care law teaching health care finance at the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law.

Leigh Feenburg, Chief Operating Officer, has recently joined Mid-Atlantic Dental Partners from Great Expressions Dental Centers, where he managed 93 offices throughout Florida and Texas. He has been around health for his entire life. Coming from a medical family, he always knew that he wanted to be involved in the business of helping people. Throughout the years, Leigh has been involved in Fitness, Lasik, and, for the last 8 years, dental. Leigh decided to join Mid-Atlantic Dental Partners, because he believes that there is nothing more important than the patient experience, patient retention, team engagement, and provider engagement. Looking to change the way that dentistry is currently done, Leigh is excited to achieve his vision of becoming the best DSO in the country. Leigh is focused on increasing operational efficiencies to improve revenue and profitability.
Sean Porrini, Chief Financial Officer, has recently joined Mid-Atlantic Dental Partners from Continuum Health Alliance, where he managed 200+ pediatric, adult primary care and multispecialty offices located in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland. He has been a Chief Financial Office for the past 17 years and has successfully completed 4 transactions with multiple PE backed entities. Prior to his role as CFO Sean was a partner in two CPA firms that concentrated on providing a variety of healthcare clients audit, tax and consulting services. He holds a CPA license and earned a Masters of Tax Law degree from Villanova University. Sean and Mid-Atlantic Dental Partners both agree that his vast experience in running a 200+ location company will provide the MADP with the experience and knowledge necessary to grow quickly and efficiently. Sean is focused on providing the company with the accounting, financial and analytical tools it needs to achieve its goal of being the largest and most respected DSO in the United States.
Dr. Richard Rush has a strong background in supervising clinical team members and crafting processes that improve patient experience. Prior to Mid-Atlantic Dental, Dr. Rush was a partner and Vice President of Clinical Operations for Modern Dental Concepts for over 30 years. He was responsible for hiring, training, and supervising all clinical team members in twelve locations. In addition, he established a quality assurance program, conducted focus groups among dental patients, and as served clinical liaison to several unions. He has also moderated discussions among senior dental students with a focus on career pathing.
He is a current member of the American Academy of Oral and Systemic Health; has served on the advisory board of Orapharma, a dental pharmaceutical company; and was previously a member of the American Academy of Dental Group Practice. In addition, Dr. Rush helped author a soft tissue management program and clinical protocols.
Dr. Rush received his Bachelor of Arts from Pennsylvania State University, and is a graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Michael S. Ayes is the founder of Total Dental Concepts, Inc. and American Dental Concepts, LLC.
Dr. Ayes has been active since 1975 in the operation and financial management of private dental practices in the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
As a visionary in the dental industry, Dr. Ayes pioneered a network of staff models for private patients and insurers such as Pennsylvania Blue Shield, U.S. Healthcare, and Cigna, allowing Total Dental Concepts to become the largest provider of managed dental care in Philadelphia. Dr. Ayes sold his company in 1997 to DentalCo, Inc. an early pioneer in the DSO business and served as the Senior VP of Operations for 72 dental practices.
Dr. Ayes received his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University in 1971, and obtained his D.D.S. in 1975 from New York University. Dr. Ayes has been a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the National Association of Dental Plans, and the American Academy of Group Dental Practices. Dr. Ayes operated as the President of Operations (2010–2011) for the Southern New Jersey/Pennsylvania region for Garden State Dental Management, a Dental Practice Management Company with 24 Dental Offices in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. In 2011 Dr. Ayes developed and acted as consultant for Transcend Dental Concepts, LLC a startup Dental Practice Management Company in Royersford, PA.
Sue Baals is the Director of Operations and Hygiene and is responsible for all practice level operations. She is a graduate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Hygiene and has been a practicing dental hygienist and practice manager for more than 25 years. Sue was a founding partner of a practice management company and has implemented clinical and administrative strategies to improve patient care quality, expand soft tissue management programs and grow practice revenue.
Born into a “Dental Practice Management” family, Jared opted to focus on the business end of dental practices and, upon graduation from college, worked in dental offices, became educated in the development of dental practices, and learned the art of dental practice management.
Jared has deep knowledge on the mechanics of a successful dental practice and provides non-clinical management support for his dental offices. He functions as an accountant, HR Manager, IT specialist, and marketing director, in order to create a comfortable environment so that a dentist can do what they do best, practice dentistry.
Jared is a graduate of the University of Maryland.
Jeanne Kenworthy is Office Manager for Mid-Atlantic Dental Partners. She joined the company May 2017 and is responsible for the daily management of the office with an emphasis on document records management.
Prior to joining Mid-Atlantic Dental Partners, Ms. Kenworthy was the Executive Assistant to the Senior Vice President, Chief Supply Officer of David’s Bridal Corporation. Jeanne Kenworthy has been employed as an Executive Assistant in corporations including Johnson & Johnson and Walgreens Corporation for more than 25 years.
Ms. Kenworthy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics degree from Ursinus College.
Jay Rosan, M.D.
Jay Rosan is a seasoned healthcare innovator, bringing national retail healthcare experience from Walgreens and business consulting experience to the firm. He is the co-founder of Medovation, which provides intellectual capital, introductions, commercialization experience, and business expertise to dramatically reduce the risk of failure for healthcare startups. Previously, Rosan was Vice President of Health Innovation for Walgreens. The Health Innovation team was established in 2009 to help Walgreens develop a clear path in introducing successful innovative products and healthcare services, and to establish new partnerships with companies interested in building innovative growth businesses with Walgreens.
Rob Healy is the former Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration & CFO of Novacare and brings over 40 years of experience in finance, operations, business development, mergers and acquisitions in high growth environments. Healy has personally led numerous successful efforts in organization optimization, strategic and tactical operations and financial planning, business metrics and analytics, mergers, acquisitions, and internal business development.

Charles Papy’s legal practice focuses on corporate and business transactions and has evolved into strategic legal planning for clients that have complex business execution issues. Papy is the former Chairman of the Dade County Health Facilities Authority.
Denis F. Kinane, B.D.S., PhD.
As former Dean of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, Denis Kinane brings more than 35 years of national and international academic, development, and dental leadership experience to Mid-Atlantic Dental. Since joining University of Pennsylvania in 2009, the School of Dental Medicine has drawn top faculty, risen in the research ranks and recruited top students, all while managing a fiscal surplus. Kinane has published more than 240 peer-reviewed papers and also holds appointments as Professor of Pathology and Periodontics and Professor of Otorhinolaryngology.
Dr. Rob Samit
Dr. Samit is the founder of MyEyeDr.com, an organization that assists optometry practices in delivering the highest quality vision care and customer service. Dr. Samit grew the company to over 2500 employees in 175 locations in ten states before selling it in 2015 to a private equity firm. Dr. Samit is currently an investor in the healthcare space.
